Android and Backend Developer

About Us:

Nyansapo AI is a social enterprise committed to developing AI-powered tools and resources for organizations, schools and teachers to teach foundational literacy and numeracy to the learning levels of children.We are a dynamic tech company seeking a skilled Android and Backend Developer to join our team. Our focus is on creating innovative mobile solutions, and we're looking for a talented developer to contribute to our projects. This is a short-term position that could lead to a full-time position in the future.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and updatethe Nyansapo Teaching Android applications developed with Kotlin and thebackend developed in Node.js with GraphQL.
• Create documentation for the Nyansapo Teaching Android application source code and the Node.js backend.
• Utilize Android Studio for development and testing.
• Build APKs and App bundles for testing and deploying updates to the Google Play Store.
• Collaborate with other developers to ensure all systems are running smoothly including the database, backend, website, school management platform, and android applications.
• Engage with customers in-person to incorporate feedback into the Nyansapo Teaching Android application

Requirements:

• Proven experience in Android development using Kotlin.
• Familiarity with Node.js and GraphQL for backend and database management.
• Proficiency in Android Studio for development and testing.
• Ability to build APKs and App bundles for deploymenton to the Google Play Store.
• Experience with using Github for project management
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Duration: Short-term consultancy position.
